Why Convert SGPA to Percentage?
SGPA (Semester Grade Point Average) is the weighted average of the grade points obtained in all courses during a specific semester.
However, many Indian companies (TCS, Infosys, Wipro) and government exams require your marks in Percentage for eligibility (e.g., "Minimum 60% required").
The "0.75" Logic
Why do many universities subtract 0.75? It is a normalization factor recommended by AICTE. It implies that scoring a perfect 10 SGPA is roughly equivalent to 92.5% marks, acknowledging that 100% marks are extremely rare in engineering evaluations.
